Journal Six


1.       How cold does it have to be to cover the plants?

We should cover our plant in fall about below 20 degrees.

When temperature dips lower to 32 degrees, we should covered cabbage plants.

 

2.       When do we cover the plants (the exact date) and for how long (all day or night)?

In November  12, 13, and 14
November 12, 28 degrees, November 26, 26 degrees, and November 14, is 28 degrees

3.       Should we water them with warm water?

 I think we should water our plant with warm. The water is not to hot or to cold .

4.       How do we uncover and cover the plants over the weekend? Could we ask another club? Who?

We might ask other teacher to covered,  if they was nice.

 

5.       How cold will it get in the next two weeks?

This the cold day in next two weeks.

Saturday, Nov 1. Higher 51° Lowes 33°.Chance of rain: 80% Wind at 19 mph 

Sunday, Nov 2.  High 54° Lowes 30°. Chance of rain: 0% Wind: NNW at 14 mph 

 

6.       Should we use fertilizer and if so, what kind?

7.       When do we harvest broccoli, collards, cauliflower, cabbage, rutabaga, spinach, arugula, kale & mustard? How many days before we harvest? How long have the plants been in the ground?

The broccoli we can harvest when it have central heads.
